Born in Shanghai and raised in Hong Kong, Wong Kar Wai is one of the world's most visionary filmmaker working today. His unique vision has earned him an international following and prestige.

His film Happy Together won the Best Director prize at the 1997 Cannes Film Festival. All of his subsequent features have premiered in Cannes :

In the Mood for Love in 2000 (winning the Best Actor prize for Tony Leung Chiu Wai), 2046 in 2004, his English-language debut My Blueberry Nights in 2007 and ASHES OF TIME REDUX in 2008. In 2006, Wong served as President of the Jury at Cannes. In addition to his features, he has made a number of short films, including The Follow (2003, starring Clive Owen, for the BMW on-line series The Hire), and There’s Only One Sun (2007, starring Amelie Daure, for Philips). In 2004, he contributed the episode The Hand to the portmanteau feature Eros, alongside episodes from Michelangelo Antonioni and Steven Soderbergh. In 2007, he made the short I Traveled 9000 km to Give It To You for Gilles Jacob’s project Chacun son cinéma (To Each His Own Cinema), premiered in Cannes.

Wong is currently working on his new film THE GRANDMASTER.

Sofia Coppola is an Academy Award-winning film director, producer and screenwriter. She is widely considered to be one of the great female directors working today. In 1999 she presented her first full length feature, “The Virgin Suicides.” Her 2003 film “Lost in translation” was acclaimed by public and critics alike; winning an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay and three Golden Globes, including best picture. “Marie Antoinette” débuted at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006 and Coppola is currently in post production on her latest film.

She has worked many times within the fashion industry; her latest endeavour - a chic capsule collection of shoes and bags for Louis Vuitton, is the result of a longstanding friendship with Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs.

Gustavo A. Santaolalla

Gustavo A. Santaolalla

 

Originally part of an Argentine rock band, Gustavo Santaolalla started working on motion picture soundtracks in the late 1990s on such films as “Amores Perros”, “21 Grams”, “The Insider”, “Collateral” and “Babel”. His work with Ang Lee on the 2006 film “Brokeback Mountain” earned him the Academy Award in the category of “Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Score)”, followed in 2007 with the Academy Award for his “Babel” film score. In 2008, Santaolalla composed the soundtrack for the Louis Vuitton “Journeys” film directed by Bruno Aveillan.
